YOUR CONCERNS

There are many concerns when looking for that special new puppy to join your family.  What color do I want and do I want a male or female?  Those are just a few questions but also not the most important ones to be asking.  I think it is very imporant to know exactly what you are getting when you invest your finances and emotions into something as important as a puppy.  This decision should not be made lightly.  You are going to have this puppy as a companion for the next 10+ years.  Be careful you are not taken advantage of by a money driven breeder whose concerns are not well placed.  Here at Winding Creek Ranch, we care about our dogs but we care about people too, namely, the families coming to us for their special family addition.  Honesty is most important to us and we pride ourselves in our efforts to produce healthy, outstanding puppies.  Yes, they are adorable too. ;o)  We do health testing on our breeding dogs.  All breeding dogs should be tested and if they fail a test, should be immediately retired from breeding.  Unhealthy dogs produce unhealthy puppies and ignorance is not bliss.  Something as simple sounding as chronic ear infections is highly inheritable and will cost you thousands of dollars over the course of the dog's life.  Our dogs do not have any visible problems nor known invisible problems. :o)  When you get a puppy from us, you are coming to experienced and caring breeders.  Our puppies are kept clean, in a calm and friendly environment.  They will be well socialized.  Are you kidding?  Playing with them is the easy part!!  ;o)  When you get your puppy he/she will have had:

At least one vet check

Dew claws removed

Deworming

All age appropriate shots done

Microchip inserted

24 month health warranty signed

Registration papers with GANA given

**Copies of all paperwork including registration papers to send off, health certificates on the parents and signed copies of the health warranty.

Lifetime email support on anything and everything is included!!

**When you get your puppy, you will also get paperwork to send in for your free lifetime membership to the microchipping registry, in case your dog is ever lost or stolen.  You will also receive collar tags, keychain tags and a certificate in connection with the microchipping.  This is all very beneficial to you.  As a concerned breeder, we will be listed as a secondary contact, in case your dog is found and you cannot be reached (perhaps you have changed addresses, etc.).  We'll include paperwork for you to send in to register your dog with GANA, if you choose to do so.  Both parties will sign the health warranty and you'll be given a copy to keep on file (please read over this thoroughly before signing).  If you are having your puppy shipped, we'll mail you the warranty and you can sign it and return it.  We'll make sure you have a copy to keep for your records.  If you had any concerns before, we hope you can now feel confident that we are doing everything possible to offer the BEST puppies available.

OUR CONCERNS

It is so great that you are considering one of our puppies to join your family.  At this point in time, we would like to take the opportunity to make sure you understand what kind of committment a puppy requires.  Please read and consider everything mentioned before moving forward.  This is for the good of the dog, you and your family.  We want this to be a wonderful and completely positive experience for all involved!  A dog is a lot of responsibility and not only financially speaking.  A puppy should not be brought into a new home and left alone while all members of the household are gone 8+ hours at work and school.  There needs to be someone around to take the puppy out to potty and make sure his/her needs are met.  Puppies need to eat, drink, and go outside several times during the day.  They have very small bladders and cannot be expected to hold it all day.  Also, if you want to housebreak your puppy, leaving it alone for several hours will only result in a trainwreck.  The puppy will have to resort to going in a crate or on your floor.  This will very quickly become a habit and will not be the fault of the puppy.  If you need to find a support system (mom, sister, friend or neighbor), please have all of this planned out before bringing a new puppy home.  Also, puppies/dogs cannot be turned loose outside without a fenced yard.  We strongly disagree with chaining a dog outside unless it is only for potty time and only then after a training pattern has already been established.  The puppy will not understand why he/she is out there on a chain unless it first understands what potty time is.  It is also important for the new family to have "time" for the puppy.  If you want a calm, happy and well-behaved lifelong companion, you need to spend time with your puppy, take him/her places and do things together (go on walks, play fetch, etc.).  This will make your puppy feel a sense of purpose and confidence.  This is the recipe for a really good companion.  Your puppy will require trips to the vet for vaccinations and will need to be spayed or neutered before breeding age.  Regular grooming and good quality food are also very important!  If this sounds like something you are ready for and you'd like to move forward, please take time to fill out our Puppy Inquiry Form.  Once you submit it, it will come straight to our email.  This helps us get to know you and see what it is you expect in a puppy.  Please make sure your contact information is on the form so we can contact you!!  That will be the first step in acquiring one of our special puppies.  We don't want to discourage you and this is not a painful procedure!!  It is just very important to us that you are fully ready for the responsibility so our puppies will have wonderful lives with their new families.  We do thank you again for visiting and hope to hear from you via our Puppy Inquiry Form.  Also, feel free to contact us by email, should you have any questions.  God bless!!

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
